Samuel Buchanan

Samuel was awarded a Richter Scholarship to investigate Puerto Rico’s need to declare bankruptcy in 2016 and the direct impact on its healthcare. Samuel will focus on Medicare through a series of interviews, surveys, and research methods. By focusing on this major aspect of healthcare; Samuel hopes to understand the potential implications that Puerto Ricans will be exposed to (both directly and indirectly) if the government decides to cut back on healthcare.
