Sara Borchers

Sara was awarded a 2016 Richter Scholarship to work on an independent research project on diet induced changes in bone marrow stem cells and how they contribute to liver cancer formation and liver inflammation. The investigation will be carried out in New South Wales at the Westmead Institute for Medical Research with the support and mentorship of Dr. George Jacob, Chair of Hepatic Medicine at the Univ. of Sydney Medical School and the Head of the Dept. of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Westmead Hospital
